Game time!
After dental surgery, it’s the perfect time to let your child indulge in video games for a few hours. Engaging in their favorite games can keep them entertained and quiet, helping to minimize movement and avoid unnecessary strain on the surgical site. This distraction can also make them less aware of any discomfort or pain they might be experiencing. Plus, it gives you peace of mind knowing they are relaxed and occupied during this critical recovery period. Just ensure they stay hydrated and take breaks to rest their eyes, creating a balanced and comfortable healing environment.

Your child's food & drink timeline
Hydration is key for children!
Even if your little one is not that hungry, which is normal, keeping them hydrated is key to a quick recovery.
Day One
Clear fluids like water, fruit punch and apple juice are ideal.
Avoid excessively hot beverages, particularly if there was local ‘freezing’ used as your child may not be able to tell if liquid is too hot.
Day Two
Soft foods like noodles, macaroni, and mashed potatoes or yams are always a hit in the first few days after their surgery.
Avoiding popcorn, nuts or seeds, as these can get stuck in and around dental work and extraction sites
